Custom Cross-Stitch Commissions

I'm open for a small number of commissioned cross-stitch pieces. These are stitched by hand, based on your concept. Because this work takes time, I offer flexible payment options to make larger pieces more accessible. Please do read through before reaching out so we're both clear on what's possible.

WHAT YOU CAN REQUEST 
Subject Matter: Small motifs and symbols, text-based work, abstract patterns, or reimaginings of existing designs.
Materials: Stitched on Aida or Evenweave fabric of your choice (or mine), using DMC cotton embroidery thread.
Finishing Options: You can request the piece unframed, framed in a thrifted frame or embroidery hoop, or mounted as a patch with felt backing.

PAYMENT & TERMS 
Commissions require a 50% non-refundable deposit to start work and book your slot. The remaining 50% is due upon completion before shipping.

Pricing:
Commission pricing starts at R300, depending on the total stitch count and complexity. Exact quotes provided after inquiry. Payment plans are available for commissions typically exceeding R1,000, but I am open to discussing other amounts on a case-by-case basis. International requests welcome (shipping costs extra).

Payment Plans:
For pieces requiring longer stitching times or higher totals, I offer interest-free payment plans - usually split into 2-3 equal installments over 1-2 months. The final installment must be paid before the piece ships. No exceptions.

Payment plan terms can be discussed in your initial inquiry. If agreed, I'll send you a custom quote with the schedule attached. Please do stick to the payment dates provided to avoid pausing production.

THE PROCESS
1. Your Idea: Send me your idea via the form below. Include a rough description, size preference, timeline, and if you think you need a payment plan.
2. Consultation & Quote: I reply within 5-7 working days with feasibility, a cost estimate (based on stitch count, hours, and materials), and a projected completion date.
3. Deposit: To lock in the commission, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. 
4. Timeline: Small motifs take 1-2 weeks; detailed imagery or large scenes can take 4-12 weeks. 
5. Completion & Delivery: Final photos sent for approval before dispatch. Once the balance (and any remaining installments) is paid in full, your piece will be shipped.

IMPORTANT NOTES 
Deadlines: If a payment plan is set up, missing a payment date will pause production until the balance is brought current. This may delay your delivery date.
Cancellations: If you cancel after production starts, the deposit covers the hours already worked and is non-refundable.
Returns: Since every piece is handmade to order, returns aren't accepted unless there is a significant error in my execution.
